Modern Day Jackie O
says AI is truly about to change the world š„¹
HAPPY FRIDAY, YāALL!
I got lots of comments on the AI images I shared Monday, so Iām back with more AI stuff. š
The Silicon Valley parts of the world are being rewired and reenergized with AIā¦ yes, graphic design and making art has become a lot easier but building just about anything has too.
Starting off light: Midjourney is known to be far and away the best generative art platform on the market right now. So, I showed you what ChatGPT, Grok, and Dallā¢E could do, but hereās Midjourneyā¦
Ok, now to the medium-wild stuff: Coding is easier than ever before. I can typically get away with building amateur stuff by Googling a bunch. Now, all I have to do is take a screenshot of something or describe what I want to build, and I can build almost anything for an app or website.
Itās as easy as asking Vercel to build something, copying + pasting the code it gives you, then you have a fully-functional thingymajig of whatever variety your heart desires.
My heart desired a website with a retro calculator and world metro clocks.
Alright, time for the MOST WILD stuff AI is doing: JK. Here to remind you, that while AI is crazy powerfulā¦ itās just made by humans. And it isnāt taking over anytime soon.
It cannot for the ever-loving artificial life of it create an image of a wine glass filled to the top. No matter what platform or tool you use, it is near impossible.
The ONLY way Iāve seen it done successfully is by describing a full pond with a stem on it. And when I used that prompt, it still didnāt work.
Art
Julian Assange visits Andrei Molodkin, a man who stole $45 million worth of art and threatened to destroy it with a dead man's switch if Assange died in prison.
An experimental art installation revealed an 'AI Jesus' that takes confession at a church in Switzerland.
Mammoth Distilling and a shipwreck hunter retrieved 'extinct' rye that sunk to the bottom of Lake Huron in 1878 to make a new flavor of whiskey.
Politics
The International Criminal Court issues warrants for arrest of Israel's Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, and previous Defense Minister, Yoav Gallant.
The House passed a bill banning Nonprofits from tax-exemption if they are found to "fund disruptive and illegal activity nationally and terrorism abroad."
People are mad at Elon Musk for his role in Trump winning the election... so they're hiring 'Etsy witches' to curse him.
Biz/Tech
OpenAI "accidentally" erased ChatGPT training set while lawyers poured through the potential evidence in ongoing copyright violations battles.
Mossgiel Organic Dairy, a Scottish Farm, is selling a $344 cup of coffee to raise $342k for combatting 'big dairy' and making quality milk.
Pizza Hut made a device (that they are not selling) that allows you to warm pizza on top of your Sony PS5 while gaming.
Health + Science
Studying 25 astronauts' brains aboard the ISS revealed slower cognitive activity in space.
Semaglutide (drugs like Ozempic) raises concerns as it shows shrinkage of the heart in mice although no notice of atrophy.
The future of hospitals probably relies on AI and will benefit humanity by unifying data, patients, and doctors across the globe.
Applause:
that which makes good men better
and bad men worse.
Thatās it. Have an oh-so-glorious weekend. And as always, talk to someone about the world!
XOXO,
Jackie
