Good morning!
Yesterday 47th President Donald Trump was sworn in. The world is reacting with a spectrum of emotions as to be expected; some overjoyed and others deeply upset about him taking office.
Whether you followed along or not—I did! So let’s dive into a brief overview of yesterday’s takeaways.
President Trump’s First Priorities:
Make America safe again
Make America affordable and energy dominant again
Drain the swamp
Bring back American values
Executive Orders Signed:
Restoring freedom of speech and ending federal censorship
U.S. to withdraw from the World Health Organization
Suspending any new foreign assistance for 3 months
Suspending security clearances for 51 national security officials who claimed Hunter Biden laptop was “Russian disinformation”
Ending the weaponization of the federal government to push a political agenda
Declaring a national emergency at the border
Designating criminal cartels as terrorists
Ending birthright citizenship
U.S. to withdraw from the Paris Climate Accord
Recognizing two biologically distinct sexes, male and female, and ending federal government DEI programs
Declaring a national energy emergency
Rescinding 78 of Biden’s executive orders including EV mandate
There were a slew of others he did officially sign, but many previously discussed executive orders are just intentions right now, like renaming the “Gulf of America.”

Carrie Underwood sang “America the Beautiful” at the swearing-in ceremony without backup audio due to a glitch

Joe Biden spent his last hours in office signing his final pardons which included, but were not limited to, 5 of his family members, Anthony Fauci, members of Congress on the Jan. 6 committee, staff of the Jan 6. committee, and police officers who testified before the Jan 6. committee.
